About
Alumni.cse provides 2 main services to our registered alumni:
- Email forwarding
- Career for CSE community
The Email forwarding service is an email redirecting service that emails sent to the registered alumni email will be redirected to the alumni's mailbox in their organizations, institutes, or ISP. With this service, the alumni will have permanent "email address" of domain alumni.cse.cuhk.edu.hk. The advantage is obvious: changing the real email address due to changing the affiliated organizations, companies, or ISPs is transparent! No need to tell you friends and your business partners about the change, nor will you have any email loss.
Besides, Alumni.cse provides some associated functionalities such as:
- Searching
- Updating
- Password management
Another service is jobs database which provides a portal for the whole CSE community to seek appropriate talnets. One of the items in this page is the job databases which allows registered alumni to post job offering advertistments for the benefit of other alumni and CSE fresh graduates and students.
Email forwarding
To minimize spam mails, we do not accept and forward emails with sender addresses not reachable. In case you cannot received some emails, check with the senders to see if they are providing invalid sender addresses.
We do not accept emails that have unreasonably long mail headers. Again this is to avoid spamming (and some kind of advertisment).
We do not accept emails that is larger than 10MB. If you need to send large attachment, chop it into pieces and/or compress them as much as you can.
Using our service to do spamming, to engage in commerical activities, and to distribute anything in electronic media unlawfully are strictly not allowed.
